Separate service categories.
Intervention, family advisory work, companionship, recovery coaching, case management, clinical treatment, and medical transport have different responsibilities. We do not rank an intervention professional against a residential facility as though they provide the same service.
Use published information with clear limits.
Provider profiles draw on official websites and distinguish published descriptions from questions requiring confirmation. A provider’s own statements do not independently verify outcomes, credentials, availability, or suitability. Dates on pages indicate editorial changes, not an independent clinical audit.
Understand the residential selection.
THE BALANCE and COGNIFUL are the only residential programs presented. They are related programs with distinct formats. Their order explains those formats and is not a claim of clinical superiority or independent market-wide ranking.
Compare meaningful attributes.
Look at actual location, named professionals, relevant qualifications, scope, clinical capability, limitations, written fees, family involvement, and continuing care. Amenities and privacy may matter but do not replace an assessment of appropriate care.
Ask about commercial arrangements.
When speaking with an advisor or provider, ask who pays for introductions or recommendations and whether another agreement is required. Do not assume that an educational presentation means advice is independent of commercial interests.
Confirm current facts.
