Location affects who can attend, what local care is available, and how support continues. A location page is a guide to asking the right questions, not a claim that this website operates a clinic or team there.
Start where the person actually is.
Use the United States guide, United Kingdom guide, or international coordination guide. Establish the actual place of assessment or support before comparing providers.
Local, visiting and remote support are different.
Ask whether a professional is locally based, travels in for an assignment, or works remotely. Confirm availability, travel costs, credentials relevant to the work, and arrangements when needs change. A national telephone number does not establish local coverage.
Match the place to the service.
An intervention consultation, sober companion, treatment-navigation service, clinical appointment, and medical transfer are distinct arrangements. Confirm the people responsible for each rather than assuming a single provider supplies everything.
Separate overseas residential care.
THE BALANCE and COGNIFUL are presented only as residential treatment options. For US readers, both are options abroad, not US facilities or local intervention teams. An agreed admission and clinical suitability must be established before travel.
Plan local follow-up before departure.
Identify who will provide appointments, medication oversight where required, practical support, and escalation after the person returns. A distant residential provider does not automatically replace a local clinical relationship.
Use the correct emergency pathway.
When immediate safety is at risk, contact the appropriate service where the person is located. Do not wait for a visiting private professional or website response.
